just heard some garbled speech from FreeDV but no view of that in DV reporter

I just heard garbled speed from FreeDV. I then  waited a minute or two and looked at DV reporter. there was no record their of the transmissions.

You will only see a reception report if the station listening got a
good decode of the callsign encoded in the transmission. This is error
protected and corrected, but unless the decode is judged to have
essentially zero chance of an error it isn't displayed.

It's quite likely that garbled speech means the SNR is too low to get
this good callsign decode.
