Thank you for all the hard work.

I haven't made a QSO yet, but I have heard some conversations.  It maybe my set-up, or just the mysterious nature of HF, as I have made
a QSO in South Africa, but not to one part of Arizona where a friend lives, or course.

I have installed 2.3, and when I transmit, it is tone.  I have used a websdr to check this.  Tone is around ~800hz.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Jason,

If your listening from a WebSDR receiver, you are correct, in that you will only heard a loud tone or buzzing type noise.

Unless the WebSDR receiver has added the FreeDV option, which several are doing these days.

Watch this webpage as your transmitting, to see if your being received by others. qso.freedv.org

Hope to work you soon.

Walter,

Thank you for the clarification.  It just doesn't sound digital, not that I am an expert, but it sounds solid, as opposed to other digital modes.

20m looks like a flat line today, so conditions have been really terrible for making contacts on Freedv.

But the fact that your decoding stations sure sounds like your all set to go.

We just need a little help from mother nature on the propagation. 😊

Jason,

It's a common problem with Win11.   It's playing back through your speaker via an audio routing path in Windows.

I am having the same problem.   I just haven't found the Windows audio routing solution yet
