A record rollup for the Sunday morning net in eastern Australia this morning with 15 stations:

VK3TPM, VK3PCC, VK5KVA, VK5RM, VK2DWG, VK2HJW, VK2DWG, ZL2TJM (rx only), VK5LN, VK3BRT, VK2JXB, VK3KR, VK3RV, VK3YY, VK5QI (the famous Mark Jessop!).

The net begins each Sunday morning at 08:30 eastern time and Jack, VK3KVA hosts an evening net from 20:30.

Some people have used FreeDV in the past and are experiencing the sonic goodness of the new RADEV1 mode for the first time.

One station has strangely poor audio despite good SNR figures.

Hello Peter, good morning, how are you? I hope you are very well. We have already spoken in the past on the 40 meter band. I see that you are coordinating the networth and I am also doing it here in Argentina. Yesterday we gathered eight stations on Saturdays but much earlier. I am speaking every day on 7, 192 kc at 11.00, in the morning UTC with a station in Japan from Tokyo in Japanese, but I speak in my language and he speaks in his language, that is, each one speaks in their own language, which is much easier and we understand each other through a translation using Google Translate. In real time, In addition to the same problem, do you think we should do a test of the three of us speaking, each one in our own language? Totally simple, just transfer Google Translate to the appropriate language. What do you think of the idea? We are here every day at 11 and on the 40 meter band you can hear us perfectly well because we arrive perfectly in New Zealand,   SDR MARAHAU OR MASTERTON ARE GOOD...TOKIO OF COURSE....at least there you can surely hear us. I send you a hug.
Next Monday , we LL be in live.. try copy our tx..TNX a lot

Greetings Jose,

Yes I remember our contact very well. Barry, VK3BRT, who you know joined the Australian net.

When you use Google translate I recall that you had it show text translations. Are you able to do live translation to speech? (I think they were working on that).

If there were more than two languages how does it handle switching languages or do you have to do that manually?

Hello dear Peter How are you I hope everything is fine, well I'm very glad you're interested in the subject. Well, the problem is that we are receiving each one in their environment uses a different system, I use Google Translate, the colleague from Japan uses Artificial Intelligence, they are different because I do it in real time and he analyzes it after I finish the conversation, and likewise the two are practically the same, you can use two machines or just one, I use two but I'm trying to use just one to simplify a bit, I only enter the colleague's conversation through the microphone and he translates it into text, it could also be converted to audio but we don't have that up and running yet. But anyway, the text comes out perfect, it comes out as if it were in a subtitled movie, so well I think it's interesting, any language works fine, English of course, so I would be interested in doing some kind of conversation between the three nations, in Japanese, English and Spanish... What do you think of the idea, in the world ... it would be unique, an almost impossible thing to emulate. The SDR that works very well for the three stations could be Masterton or Marahau, it works very well, either of the two works very well, Well, I remain at your disposal for any questions every day 11 hours utc kc 7.192 you will be able to hear us perfectly ... well, I don't know if directly there in Melbourne, but surely within New Zealand you will surely hook some SDR for everyone .. Okay ??? a hug greetings and I await your news ... WE ARE MAKING HISTORY !!!
