Why is there no 10 meter acytivity here? That is the only band I can get on due to antenna size restrictions.

Hi Bob,

I used to be more active on 10 meter FreeDV but I took down my antenna to debug something and never put it back up. That said, band conditions haven't been too good lately, so that may explain why most activity has been on 20 meters and lower.

Thanks,

Bob,

I haven’t been trying 10 meters in a while myself, but I have indeed made several great contacts overseas on 10.

Ping me any time your on, and let’s give it a try, to see if we can get some signals out your way.

the conditions on 10m in this cycle 25 have been extraordinary the problem of its low use is linked to the siren song that 20m is the only band where there is activity this has happened with many other digital modalities such as js8 where the activity is concentrated in the 11m cb band which is very lively however on 10m there is no one in the good understanding that the propagation conditions are the same the same thing happens with other bands such as 30m and 40m where operators try to have everyone revolve around 40m instead of 30m it is therefore a question of wrong discipline and organization or use of certain antennas but never as in this case of propagation conditions

Hi all

Ten metres is never open all day, every day, so finding someone else on there can be a bit hit n miss.   At least with FreeDV we know which frequency someone should be on. Or jump on FreeDV reporter and TX a few times to catch someone's attention.

Cheers

PS I finally got my station set up, and today I got FreeDV running.
