Hi Ron,
Currently this isn't saved to a file but you can view the console output on Windows by going to Tools->Options->Debugging and checking "Show Console". You should be able to copy the contents of the resulting window to the clipboard and save it off using Notepad or another text editor.
Thanks,

Hi,
Yes, I do have that console display however (at least on my Win
10 machine), none of the mouse functions work such as right click,
select all, etc. Even using the mouse to highlight the lines I
want does not work. I can highlight lines but there is no way to
select them.

Hi,
Yea, call me brain dead 😳. I was wrapped around the axle about
not being able to right click in text area. Right clicking on the
title bar does bring up the menu.
Thanks for your help.
P.S. the bug report I want to submit has to do with how FreeDV
interfaces with SDR host applications when selecting Kenwood
TS-2000 in Hamlib settings. WSJT-X works fine but FreeDV does
not. Now, the issue is probably with my SDR host application but
FreeDV is definitely doing things a bit differently from WSJT-X
and I need to understand what I need to change in my SDR host
application.

Ron,
I have found that with the later versions of HamLib, that some applications that I have used TS-2000 for decades, don’t always work, and I have to use TS-480 instead.
Sorry for not following the whole thread here, but which radio are you using?
Hope that helps,
Walter/K5WH

Hi Walter,
Thanks for the info. I will give TS480 a go.
OK, the SDR host application I'm using is custom written
application that supports our radio(s) (Multus SDR, LLC) and is
called MSCC. I when I wrote MSCC, the CAT/PTT section of the
application was modeled on what WSJT-X sends using TS-2000.
WSJT-X actually sends and responds to a very limited set of the
TS-2000 commands. It appears FreeDV is sending a bit more and my
application is not responding to the commands therefore FreeDV is
timing out on those commands. As I mentioned this probably on me
to fix the issues on my side. One thing that really confused me
is FreeDV is sending KS and KY commands. Apparently these have to
do with the TS-2000 keyer which makes no sense to me why these are
being sent.
Probably more info that you wanted 😉😉.
