Hi Roger, thanks for that valuable link. I agree with it 100%, but would like to add that although D-Star is geared for the Ham Radio market and DMR is tailored for the comercial market, the overwhelming attraction to DMR is the cheap Chinese DMR portables.

Also, given that DMR is still a new player on the Ham scene, it will still evolve to something comparable to D-Star.
We are fortunate to have both DMR and D-Star repeaters to use, so we can try one or the other (or both).
