Reading the thread on audio quality, I thought about using an online
SDR. Has anyone piped the audio from one of them into freedv?

I have done it often using a second instance of FLDigi, where I can test
my transmission quality into different areas of the western states.

Yes indeed.

I do this all the time.

Especially when receiving signals from the QO-100 satellite over Europe.

I have a separate shortcut on my desktop to support that, and send the audio into a Virtual Audio channel, so I can send it anywhere I need to.

It works quite well, for the very reason you mentioned.
