Start Modem in RADE mode kills program

On versions 2.0 and 2.1, when I select the RADE mode  and then start  the modem, the program blows out. Screen closes, game over.

However when I select a different mode (700D, or 700E), the program works - although since no one was using  that mode at the time I tested, I got no audio. But

the program did not blow out.

I re-installed the C/C++ redistributable package as I read where that can help, but it made no difference. Same result.

I have reinstalled the 2.1 package - again still blows out.

Any ideas?

Hi Rod,

You may need to reinstall the Python components used by RADE. You can do this by opening a Command Prompt window as Administrator and entering the following commands:

c:

cd "\Program Files\FreeDV 2.1.0\bin"

rade-setup.bat
