Hi,
Have set up logging for DX Keeper:
1 FreeDV Logging ON

2 Spot Collector WSJT Source Enabled + Lookup + Callbook.
Note Spot collector shows 'connected' to wsjt-x style connection. (Port 2237)
Have also disabled all other spot sources.

3 DXKeeper,Pathfinder and DxView running

After filling in the logging details and click OK
-DX Keeper receives the call as a lookup
-DX View receives the call
-Pathfinder receives the call.
x  The Log function is not initiated in DX Keeper- only the call placed in the filter box.

Does anyone have logging working with DX Labs?
Help would be appreciated.

Cheers
Rhod

Hi Rhod,

Peter in the post he made prior to 2.2.0 being released (https://groups.google.com/g/digitalvoice/c/GeGqIqixdVw/m/XgQV3rRsAgAJ) mentioned that SpotCollector needed to always be running. It sounds like you're doing so already, so I'm not sure offhand why it's not logging for you. Maybe he can come back with further things to try? (I'm not too familiar with DXKeeper so I can't really help more with specific settings, etc.)

Thanks,

-Mooneer K6AQ

Hi Rhod, Mooneer,

After DXView retrieves the call details Ctl click on its Go button (in the search section however over the Go button to see the Hints as to other key combination options) this will then enter the call to DXKeeper.
In DX Keeper you can then use the Capture button and enter any missing/additional details needed then Log it - don't forget to change the mode to be "FreeDV" before logging it.  (to change the mode after clicking on the dropdown list, don't scroll just commence typing freedv and it will appear)

I do note FreeDV Logging details such as  TX/RX Reports and Comments do not get passed to DXView/DXKeeper/Capture so avoid the step of entering them in the FreeDV logging dialog but instead enter them once directly into the DX Keeper Capture dialog.

It's probably not an ideal process vs the integration which WSJT-X does with DXLab suite, that said in my opinion it's somewhat similar to logging an SSB contact.

I hope that helps

Thanks Peter,
did not know about ctl-click.., but there is a lot in DxLabs many are not fully aware of.
I know DxKeeper does have a log command, but from tcp not udp.
