Freedv and Icom ic7100

Hello group. Is anyone in the group that has the freedv and icom ic7100 working ptt setting with the usb connection? I see on hamlib the ic7100 is not listed. tnx

yes, got that working, no problem. All Icom TRX's are the same regarding the CI-V transmit/receive command, so selecting any rig (9100) will do, just change the CI-V address to whatever you've got set in your ic-7100.

Tnx remco is that using with CT-17 CI_V LEVEL CONVERTER or usb connection? i try but the program ptt wont key up the radio via usb

USB all the way. In my version of FreeDV there is a ic-7100 option in the drop-down menu for the rig model. Be sure to select the right ‘serial device’ one is CI-V, the other is rtty or DV data or what not. And yes, they are not always in the same order….

on  freedv version  0.96.6 the only radio i see close to ic7100 is icr7100 on hamlib setting.

as for the ic-7100 itself: no other settings than factory default. I do have set the mode to ‘SSB-D’ and set the data mode ‘DATA MOD’ in the  ‘CONNECTORS’ set menu to ‘USB’
