I am sending the FreeDV banners to Mel for ARRL Midwest Convention
and Orlando Hamcation. It's time to make up new trade show graphics.
Hamvention booth orders open December 1, and I guess I would get the
double-wide booth space again.
For Hamvention, we can get a one-piece vinyl banner with full-color
printing and grommets that covers the entire back of our
double-wide booth for $270 (or maybe less, that would be 9x20 13
ounce vinyl with grommets and I think the actual back wall is
smaller than that). This seems a lot easier and more effective than
what we did last year, and would fit the drapery and frames that
they give us at Hamvention. But I'd definitely need help in
making the graphics.
We currently have a 10-foot banner. I would like to print new
banners for 6 foot and 8 foot tables. We can re-use Anthony's
graphics or make new ones.
I also have some trade show equipment which I've picked up at flea
markets for chump change:
Skyline Mirage Classic 8x10 curved pop-up booth that I got for $60
and is missing the vertical standards which the magnetic tape on the
covers stick to. But the incredible fiberglass pop-up frame is
intact and works fine, and the covers are OK but a little marked up.
No light kit, LEDs would be the obvious thing to use if we wanted
one. If nobody has a better idea, I will fabricate the standards
from some ferrous sheet metal. This would be great for the smaller
shows, as it can go behind a table. Perhaps we should print a skin
for it, but you can also velcro, tape, or hang banners on it.
3000 lumen projector with normal, not short-throw lens. Also $60
with working bulb.
Pop-up sign, will need printing.
Thanks
Bruce
