Note: net will be starting at 9PM EST on Tuesday, 12/9/25 (Wednesday @ 0200Z), and thereafter for the winter season. Hopefully, this will help us with the long skip problem. If you cannot make it that early, show up around the 10PM time frame. There will most likely be a few stations still on frequency as the net itself usually runs more than an hour.

Below is the list of stations that participated in the FreeDV 40M Tuesday Night Activity Net that met on 12/02/25 at 10PM EST on 7182 kHz. As the net progressed, the skip lengthened making it difficult to hear many stations. Overall, we had 62 stations that participated based on Netlogger check-ins, activity on FreeDV Reporter, and over-the-air check-ins. By moving the net to a 9PM start, it is hoped that skip will still be short enough for most to be able hear the majority of the stations participating in the net.

In spite of the fact that he was out of town, Dudley, WA5QPZ, recorded this net on YouTube on his YouTube channel “WA5QPZ”. He also had his Echolink connection to a receiver in Utah up and running under his callsign. I have found his Echolink connection to be of great value for hearing stations that I might not otherwise copy.

Here is the list of participants.

Two other comments:
1. Please put your name and QTH into FreeDV Reporter when you start the FreeDV program. This will help all of us learn who is who.
2. If you can (assuming you want to try it), download “Netlogger” and monitor the net. This will put you onto a list in the order that you start monitoring from which I can easily create an organized check-in list. You can also see the check-in list that I have created which includes Netlogger, FreeDV Reporter, and over-the-air check-ins. This is how Dudley and I try to keep the two of us in sync. If you see the designation “lurking”, it means that I have not yet added you to the list of check-ins.
I hope that everyone enjoyed the net.
