Sunday Australian net - storms but 17 stations

A good FreeDV net again this morning with stations including VK2KNC, VK2SPB, VK2VCO, VK3CKY,  VK3FFB,  VK3JCO, VK3JFR, VK3KEZ, VK3SRC,  VK3UH,  VK5AG,  VK5COL, VK5KFG,  VK5KVA, VK5QI,  and VK3TPM.

Thanks everyone for coming up and for all the season's greetings. Note that Jack, VK5KVA, will be hosting a net tonight from 20:30 Eastern Time also on 7.045Mhz.

Hi all,

8:30 - 9:00 pm, I see on the waterfall RADE signals but the decode is not keeping up.

"htop" shows the freedv-ka9q process at 87& CPU SHR of 98M and VIRT 1646M.

System: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz

Any thoughts on how I can improve this?

I get occasional blurts of voice, nothing intellegible.

And I see my problem, the i5-2400 does not have avx2, required by RADE.

I must have missed the test for NEON or AVX2 in the FreeDV GUI build.
