After a Windows update just now on my WInlink machine, all the sound card inputs for VARA FM and Soundmodem were acting like there was no audio.  Someone connecting would suddenly show bursts of audio and then back to nil.    Below are screenshots of the advanced properties for one of my soundcards.   The photo on the left is after this update and the one on the right is the "before picture".   Notice a new Signal Enhancements option and it had the enable box checked.   Unchecking that box restored everything back to normal...
