Below is the list of stations that participated in the FreeDV 40M Tuesday Night Activity Net that met on 12/30/25 at 9 PM EST on 7182 kHz. Dudley, WA5QPZ, streamed the net live and recorded it on his YouTube channel “WA5QPZ”. He also provided a live Echolink connection to a receiver in Utah under his callsign. WA5QPZ’s YouTube channel and Echolink connection are great ways to listen live and hear other stations that you might otherwise not hear. The YouTube recording is also a good way to listen to your own signal after it has been posted.
Based on FreeDV Reporter, Netlogger, and over-the-air check-ins, we had 65 participants as follows:

Two other comments:
1. Please put your name and QTH into FreeDV Reporter when you start the FreeDV program. This will help all of us learn who is who.
2. If you can (assuming you want to try it), download “Netlogger” and monitor the net. This will put you onto a list in the order that you start monitoring from which I can easily create an organized check-in list. You can also see the check-in list that I have created which includes FreeDV Reporter stations as well as any other over-the-air check-ins. This is how Dudley and I try to keep the two of us in sync. If you see the designation “lurking”, it means that I have not yet added you to the list of check-ins.
I hope that everyone enjoyed the net. See you on Tuesday, January 6th at 9 PM EST.

Well done Fred. You are providing a forum for encouraging more hams to try FreeDV.

Dudley you are providing a valuable historical resource to not only hear let people how they sounded but also to see their audio level in the Frm Decoder screen and so make adjustments.

I like the way you are presenting multi screens in the FreeDV GUI as gives an insight into the propagation effecting different locations.

I use a similar setup to what you use but with the following difference, in the top RHS I have Frm Radio and in the bottom RHS I have 2 tabs, Frm Decoder and Frm Mic. If on initial statup you ensure that the Frm Decoder is active then when start Tx the Frm Mic screen will automatically be highlighted and when you return to Rx the Frm Decorder will again become active.

The advantage is that you always have Frm Radio active which is just another visual clue as to the Level being applied to the Modem and either Frm Decorder or Frm Mic active depending on your Tx/Rx status.

Thanks Peter for the compliments and I am open for any changes that might help anyone with their setup, I’ll try it tonight.   Send me a screen shot of your suggestion.

Hi Peter,

Stations heard on the webSDR 6&7/1/26:

&7EE& KZKXJ LU5DKI VCJFFB VK2EX VK3FFB VK3SRC VK3YSA VK5KVA VK5MH VK7JB
(some errors)

Note in particular LU5DKI.

I note, none of these come up on the qso.freedv.org website, though VK2ZIW does.
I'll implement the band the webSDR is on, but by it's centre frequency. This
can be picked up by the script invoking freedv-ka9q.

(I've modded miri_sdr to change frequency by a signal.)

Hi Alan

Cant comment on stations not on FreeDV reporter. LU5DKI, Jose, is s long term operator on FreeDV ( back to the days of 1600) and was at one stage having extremely frequent (almost dail)y skeds with a couple of VKs in VK3 either direct  or via Kiwi SDR in ZL
