When installing new versions of FreeDV (2.2.0, 2.2.1) I see that Windows creates new directories in Program Files each time and redirects the shortcuts to point to the new install.
Is it safe to delete the old directories for previous versions?

Hi Malcolm,

I can only offer my experience here.....every update I have installed was preceded by deleting the old version first and it has caused no problems so far.

Hi Malcolm,

I think that should be fine as FreeDV doesn't add itself to the programs list in Settings. If you run the uninstall programs for the older versions, though, it'll delete the shortcut that's already there, so I'd recommend running those *before* installing new versions if possible.

Thanks,
