Below is the list of stations that participated in the FreeDV 40M Tuesday Night Activity Net that met on 03/24/26 at 9 PM EDST on 7182 kHz. Dudley, WA5QPZ, successfully recorded this net and posted it on his YouTube channel “WA5QPZ.” It is a good way to hear what you sound like as well as some of the stations that you may not have copied. In addition, when the net is live, Dudley connects a receiver in Utah to his Echolink node (under his callsign). You can use this connection to help hear stations that ypu might not otherwise hear.
Based on FreeDV Reporter, Netlogger, and over-the-air check-ins, we had 37 participants as follows:

Two other comments:
1. Please put your name and QTH into FreeDV Reporter when you start the FreeDV program. This will help all of us learn who is who.
2. If you can (assuming you want to try it), download “Netlogger” and monitor the net. This will put you onto a list in the order that you start monitoring from which I can easily create an organized check-in list. You can also see the check-in list that I have created which includes FreeDV Reporter stations as well as any other over-the-air check-ins. This is how Dudley, WA5QPZ, and I try to keep the two of us in sync. If you see the designation “lurking”, it means that I have not yet added you to the list of check-ins.
I hope that everyone enjoyed the net. See you Tuesday, March 31st.

Fred

I, WA5TED, don’t know how to post a general message but will share information here that we would be glad to have distributed widely.  Two of us in Lubbock have FreeDV in service.  K5LCL was unable to respond to a call on the net a couple of weeks ago, but I was listening.  This week I was able to check in, but K5LCL still did not have his XMT lined up.  We were successful in connecting to each other last night, and today discussed potential of a net originating here in West Texas.  Starting tomorrow, April 10, at 8:00 PM on Friday nights, K5LCL will attempt to run a Free DV net on 7182.  It should be seen on NetLogger.  I was able to hear perhaps a third of the stations that checked in night before last, and we would welcome anyone to this net.  We have a potential third station on the air tomorrow, and are looking forward to the seed being planted and showing increasing presence here.  Thanks to all those making this happen!

Gary,

If you guys need someone to be on the air with you, just ping me. wal...@k5wh.net, and I can be anywhere you need. Maybe even 2m ssb between us will work as well.

I am always listening on 20m day and night, but your too close to me here in Houston for 20, but we can get on 40m whenever your available if you need to do some quick testing.

All the best, and welcome to you and they guys there, to FreeDV. Glad to have you onboard with us.

Walter/K5WH
