Sunday Australian net - 19 stations

A good net this morning with 19 stations seen - not everyone was transmitting, but I'll count them anyway. Of note was a first check in from well known local ham Peter VK3YE who was using an FT817 and has been experimenting with very low power transmissions - 30mW and lower!

Stations seen included: VK3CKY, VK3GTP, VK3NAR, VK3SRC (away), VK3YE, VK5AG, VK5KFG, VK5KVA, VK5LN, VK2TTL, VK3PCC, VK2DWG, VK5AV, VK2BLQ, VK3BAL, VK5LA, VK6POP, VK5KVG and me, VK3TPM.

Hi all

I didnt hear a squeak today. Not unexpected. It's a bit early in the day for 40 metres x 3000 Kms.

With support of Kevin VK6KR I'm trying a VK6 FreeDV net on Tuesdays at 0800 UTC (4pm Perth Time).

We'll use 7.045 MHz unless it's already busy.

Peter I was copying Peter on the on the AREG ( https://www.areg.org.au ) remote receiving site  (https://www.areg.org.au/remote-hf-rx ) approx 100km north of Adelaide  when he was transmitting low power with results below.

6 Dec 2024 0710Z 30mW 100% copy.

6 Dec 2024 0713Z 15mW 99% copy , A little corruption just as he was signing.

6 Dec 2024 0716Z 8mW NO copy. Signal not visible on waterfall.
