I have noticed that when downloading the new Appimage version using Mint, none of the settings from the previous version "flow" to the new version.

OTOH, in KDE NEON (also a Unbuntu based Linux) all the settings from previous versions are populated.

I'm trying to help K7QH using a fairly late model Dell Laptop with Mint, none of his settings from 2.3.0 populated in 2.3.1

Is this something unique to Mint?  Anyone else seeing this problem?

Hi Rick,

2.3.x moves the default configuration file to ~/.config/freedv.conf if using the AppImage to match the XDG standard. I'm not sure offhand why Mint would be behaving differently here. Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks,

-Mooneer K6AQ

Rick..did not mention that I deleted 2.3.0 and then downloaded 2.3.1 and ran the program...maybe linux mint gets settings from last undeleted install where windows stores info in program files I believe

Thanks,

Chris,

When the modem is running, and you press "Switch to Analog" do you hear receiver noise in your speaker(s) ?

Which type of computer and  operating system ?

I am on Microsoft.  I was able to get it to work by deleting the FreeDV program and reloading it.  That  fixed it,

Hi,

What are the settings for FT710 to run FreeDV.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rajesh,

https://freedv.org/getting-started-yaesu/ may be of use. The FT-710 isn't on there but recent Yaesus should be fairly similar config-wise.

Thanks,
