Hello everyone,
The Soil Science Geotechnology Group (GeoCiS) at University of São Paulo, Brazil, is looking for a Post-Doctoral Researcher to develop a project on spatial-temporal mapping of soil organic carbon, with a scholarship of R$ 4,300.00/month (Brazilian currency). More details in the attached document.
Application deadline: September 15, 2021.

Dear all,
Unfortunately, the Brazilian currency (Real) is devalued in relation to other currencies, and this value may seem low abroad, but it is enough to support oneself with dignity and to have leisure for those who live in Brazil. Noting that this value is tax free. This is what we have, and it can be useful for someone (which for sure is not you, Михаил Пузаченко, who has already won in life).

I guess that this is a quite nice opportunity for us all to think
about how scientific opportunities are unfair, specially if your
country was (and continues to be) colonized by the central
capitalist powers of the Global North.
As a Latin American, I demand that you think twice, perhaps
read some history books, before making any joke about out poor
scientific opportunities!

Dear colleagues!
I think that I should assure the members of our community that interesting observations of dogs' behaviour of my younger colleague reflects only his personal opinion and Russian scientists do not share it.
I should remind that in Russia the mean salary of a scientific researcher outside Moscow is around 30,000 rubles, which is an equivalent of 500 USD per month. As far as I understand, it is less than the salary suggested in the project we discuss.
It is a shame to make jokes about your colleagues who did not manage to get a fat project. Also, my long experience shows that fat projects finish and then you find yourself with much lower income than you was used to, and it is not a pleasant feeling.
I apologize on behalf of Russian scientists for this bad joke.

PS. My daughter has a degree in dog breeding and she confirms that dogs usually itch without any payment. They just enjoy itching.

If I was eligible I would be the first applicant, because I know by whom I will be supervised and what kind of scientific opportunity. I don't have my PhD certificate yet, I care about my parents and I can't travel without my family (wife and children). I live in Morocco with a similar
