happy 2011!

please allow me to announce my new piece, "lost + remixed":

1. the final chapter of the "lost" tv series was downloaded from a
spanish website whose legal status was then being debated by the local
government.

2. two key scenes were extracted from the chapter and exported as jpeg
sequences (spoiler warning)

3. the jpeg sequences were remixed algorithmically using midipoet

instructions for watching lost + remixed @ home:

- download midipoet
- download lost + remixed, unzip all files to the same folder
- play "room23.mip" using midipoet player

lost + remixed was inspired by the "brainwash video", projected by the
dharma initiative to captive "hostiles" after torturing and
interrogating them, with the purpose of inducing amnesia.

the texts in lost + remixed were selected from the cables published by
wikileaks, which revealed the pressure put by the us government on
spain to pass a law that would illegalize file-sharing websites.

Philippe Boisnard réalisera une performance de "poésie action numérique" qui pourra être suivie en live sur le web.

Sur un marché de Sète dans le cadre du festival Infr'action, il réalisera des photographies de personnes

qui seront immédiatement retraitées et qui génèreront un site web.

Les acheteurs du marché, vont devenir des produits à vendre sur le net. Ce dispositif est entièrement génératif. Il interroge à la fois la question de la capture et de la mise en archive du sujet humain, et d'autre part la traduction de l'homme selon des catégories marchandes, à savoir sa constitution comme monnaie vivante.

durant la journée du 15 septembre, vous pourrez suivre les tests et le développement de la programmation.

Philippe Boisnard conduct a performance of "digital poetry action" which can be followedlive on the web.
In a market of Sète in the festival Infr'action, he produced photographs of people
that will be immediately retired and will generate a website.
Buyers market, will become products to sell on the net. This device is fully generative. He questions both the issue of capture and archive the development of the human subject, and also the translation of man according to the commodity categories, namely its constitution as a living currency.
