Injecting new URL to crawl without restarting the topology

Is there any way to inject new URL to crawl without stoping the topology from command line and editing 

proper files ?

would you mind asking the question on StackOverflow with the tag storm-crawler? Could you also specify which backend you are using e.g. ES, SOLR, SQL
