In an ever growing effort to get more interesting and exciting businesses to be based in the Bath area I am finally expanding the Xfire team outside of Los Angeles and hiring some PHP developers in the Bath area. 

Here is a summary of the role:

Xfire is looking for PHP developers to help us kick some ass. We're revolutionizing the way people compete around their favorite games and powering the global phenomenon known as eSports. We provide an easy-to-use platform for any publisher, player or community to create and manage tournaments around PC games. We have deals in place with some top publishers and they'll be announced soon!

If you're looking to be part of a global team, to help shape a product that will enrich the lives of millions and score a few free trips to sunny California to spend time with our motley crew, Xfire just might be the place for you. 

We're pretty picky with who we bring into our team, but if you meet the following (or most of them anyway), you just might be a great fit:

• Passionate about video games (required)
  
• eSports enthusiast or participant 
• Complete LAMP Stack Proficiency (Linux, Apache, MySql, PHP)
• Strong MVC Experience, Zend is preferred, but any other will also work.
• Object Oriented Design Patterns
• Solid understanding of XML
• Experience working on platforms that scale
• Experience working with RESTful API’s
• Experience with front end technologies (HTML5/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with unit and functional Testing.
  
• Knowledge of and experience with version control systems like SVN, Git, Mercurial
