Thursday's Digital Future Meeting Canceled/Summit Postponed

Tomorrow's Digital Future Operations and Services team meeting has been canceled. The co-chairs from the various teams met yesterday and it became clear that we are not comfortable developing a survey for the campus at this time. Time is needed to further develop the recommendations that will be put forward to the campus community for feedback. We all want to do this right and not put out something just to get it out there. Provost Britz and Laura Pedrick support of this recommendation. We will take the summer to get our recommendations further refined and polished.
The Digital Future Campus Summit will be postponed from May 11 to next fall to allow additional time to develop the recommendations and the overall report. Following that the completion of that process, a campus survey will be sent out to gather input on the recommendations. Holding the Digital Future Campus Summit in the fall will allow for greater participation as well. If you have already registered for the Summit, you will receive an email update when the fall date is set; if you have not yet registered, look for an announcement after school starts in early fall.
Your time and effort in this initiative is appreciated by all of us. Let's take a break until the semester is finished so you can focus on those end of semester tasks that are occupying your time. I will contact members of the individual groups to help me further define goals and recommendations. We will have a meeting of the full group if/when it's warranted. Otherwise, I will work with individuals but send out updates and such via email.
