Following-on from our successful BDF event, we return with our October evening event focusing on UX and its overlap with
Human Factors and Ergonomics (HF&E). This should be of interest to
broad-range of folks, not just 'UXrs'
Tues 14 October from 6:30pm to 9pm
http://lanyrd.com/2014/ux-human-factors-and-ergonomics/ Also
known as "comfort design", "functional design", or "user-friendly
systems", HF&E is the practice of designing products, systems or
processes to take proper account of the interaction between them and the
people that use them. As you can imagine, there's plenty to learn from
this multidisciplinary field.
Speakers for the evening are all
Senior Lecturers from the University of Brighton's School of Computing,
Engineering and Mathematics:
- Human Factors in Product Design: The secret to good design presented by Dr Eddy Elton
- The problem with 3D printing and human factors issues in bicycle design presented by Dr Derek Covill
- Vis-able:
