Open Media and CAPP will be posting a 'rally planning guide' in the
next couple of days to help guide you through the rally planning
process (as we recognize many interested volunteers don't have
previous rally planning experience).
In the meantime, some things to start considering:
-First meeting: it's highly recommended that at least 1-2 in person
planning meetings are held before your event. What times work best
for
everyone? What area of the city works? Community halls, church
basements, university rooms (if you have a university student on
board
to book one), libraries, coffee shops, etc are all areas that other
groups have used/suggested-what works best for everyone here?
Suggestions?
-Where do you want to hold your rally? Let's start brainstorming!
-How do you want to get organized? Some groups have planning
committees that take on the various tasks, others just assign tasks
to
individuals. What are your areas of expertise? What part of the rally
planning would you ideally like to help out with?
Let's get the juices flowing :) And we'll try and get that guide up
as
soon as possible!
