Hey TO,
We've officially launched the
Net for Prime Minister campaign. We're using its candidacy as a vehicle to push for open, competitive and affordable Internet in Canada. The pick up has been really solid and, surprise surprise, even some international press are covering the story :)
We just caught word that Jack Layton is hosting a campaign announcement about Canada's digital future this Thursday @11am in TO.
I'm thinking about bringing Net to the event to ask Jack some tough questions, but to be funny and engaging at the same time.
What do you think?
If we do attend, would you be interested and or available to be part of the pro-Net support team? We have t-shirts, stickers, and buttons all ready to go. We're going to use this event to call on the other federal leaders to host similar announcements on their vision for Canada' digital future. We can then try to have Net attend those events as well. We're mindful to make sure we remain independent and non-partisan.
Thoughts?
New Democrats are standing up for at open, accessible Internet for all Canadians.
Join Jack Layton in Toronto this Thursday for a campaign announcement about this very important fight.
Date: Thursday, April 21 Time: 11:00am Location: Axis Gallery and Grill 3048 Dundas St West
It’s time to give hard-working families a break. And that includes stopping the gouging from the big internet companies.
Together, we can bring Canada to the leading edge of the digital economy.
Be a part of it this Thursday.
Everyone welcome. |
