Hey all, had a phone meeting with Glen yesterday. Todays meeting will
be cancelled due to a lack of attendance but we have a plan for next
weeks rally. The will be a central point to meet prio to the rally.
Location will be revealed over the week. From there we will have smal
groups of 3 devide and hit the malls to rally. I will send out a press
release to all local media this week. The more people show up, the
more malls we can cover.

More to come during the week.

Marc

Maybe it would be easier if a few carpools would be setup.

Hi All, I just wanted to say that the plan Marc mentioned sounds
awesome. I wouldn't be too concerned. The more people the better for
sure, but if even a small number of people participate in the petition
drive/ticket dispersal, it will be a success. It's a more interesting
story for the media and it's more engaging and conscious raising than
most anything that could be done. I also suspect that it will be a lot
of fun.

Two ideas for those who want to get more people out.
1. convince 2 friends to come (this is powerful)
2. Go to the Facebook page here:http://www.facebook.com/event.php?

- Click on "Select Guests to Invite" - invite everyone you know.

have fun!

Hey Marc,

Can you please suggest the central meeting location(s) for the Stop The Meter CRTC petition drive in Ottawa?

I can help spread the word far and wide!

Thanks!

Glyn

Came across this recommendation from a friend as well. May be some information to glance over. Especially that indicating "community broadband".

The decision date is postponed untill the CRTC comes out with a better
ubb plan. May 1st date was the original 60 day pushback. It has later
been canceled.

Ryan, I have to inform all malls about our rally first and see if we
have their support. Lets's not forget that each mall has tenants
paying huge amount of money in rent per month that are aimed in this
rally. Then again thousands of clients affected in this story visit
these malls on a daily basis.

What do you guys think about meeting at Rideau Centre at 1pm on
Saturday and then heading as small groups to the canal, and or the
Market?

One team could simply walk down Sparks St. towards the Parliamnt
building, there always seems to be good foot traffic around there.

What does everyone think?

Glyn
