Bonjour a Tous

Merci,

Nicholas

Has someone created a signup sheet with a little bit of information about this group or shall I just do it the old-fashioned way to join this group for the reddit meetup tonight/board game day tomorrow?

Thanks,

Jamie can you create one? Or is anyone else from the group capable of doing so?

We need one for the day of action anyway.

That looks good. I wouldn't mind changing a few things when you back out of it. We also needed it translated to French. Est-ce que  quelqun peux nous aider?

Hi!

Trying to help you with the translation. What do you mean by "we'll
be working for a Technological Democracy afterwards"

Technological Democracy is and organisation? Or just saying that we
will be in a technological democracy after the petition?

Oh, I meant that we'll be working to achieve a technological democracy!  I just meant that this wasn't JUST about this one upcoming Saturday, but about continuing the fight in related areas.

Hi JL

I am going to edit that a bit first so hold off on that for a second.

Our bigger priority is the french in the ticket graphic.

It is in  the shared google documnets and called"data infraction ticket wip"

If you are able to translate the french, you can just do it in a seperate word file and post it back online.

Are you able to help with that?

Thanks,

Nick

I made few changes. I wanted it to stay in line with some of the key messages coming out of Open Media and use the same language. Let me know your thoughts. If you don't like it , feel free to change it back.

Thanks,

Nick

I was about to do it, yes. My girlfriend will pass over the documents
for correction (she has a perfect french writing). But not until 6pm.

Also, is the document for the printed petition already distributed? I
found errors in the french one.

No, the french petition has not been distributed, please feel free to edit and correct it. I will do the ticket now. We need it done by 5pm. The ticket graphic editor is going on vacation till next week and we need to get it to the printer before he gets back.

Merci, Thanks

Ok I will have it corrected before 5pm. There is some mistakes also in
the english version of the ticket.

What does that means: "I believe from my personal knowledge and
certify that on the date noted,"

That you believe or you certify that the user exceeded is quota?

These tickets are just symbolic and don't actually translate to real fines, so the actually details aren't extremely important. But we do want to get the french as accurate and meaningful as possible. So Feel free to be creative with the french and don't worry about translating word for word so much as keeping to the spirit of it.

But that English sounds right to me.

It means that you believe (based on your personal knowlege) and certify (attest, guarantee) that user has exceeded his quota

Thanks,

Nick

Ok. In the english version: bandwith -> bandwidth (2 times). Will
finish the french version really soon.

Ok done with the ticket. I guess you will figure out where to put the

I'd rename Équipe D'Action Digitale Montreal to Équipe d'Action
Numérique Montréal

This is how it's said in french and it is also used on the OpenMedia
website: http://openmedia.ca/equipe

Is that the facebook event description document? If so, I've already
started. I don't know when I'll be able to finish it. What's the
deadline?

No ... its a press release. I haven't shared it with the group because it is not ready for submission yet. I would share it only with you ...

I really appreciate what you have done so far and if you are not able to ... that is fine.

Thanks,

I think asking for someone's phone number on a sign-up sheet is overkill at this point.  Let's get them to sign up to the newsgroup first, it's a big enough step without them fearing that they're going to start getting phone calls about it.

Bonjour,

Merci,

Nicholas
