Hello Calgary DAT members!

 

 

As a collaborative effort between the Calgary OpenMedia.ca Street Team and Protospace, we will be hosting an informative workshop about ways to protec yourself online from warrantless surveillance such as Bill C-30 (the Online Spying Bill).

 

 

When: Sunday Oct 21, 3:00pm

Where: Protospace - Bay #108, 1530 27th Ave NE

 

PLEASE BRING A LAPTOP OR NOTEBOOK. INSTRUCTIONAL PAMPHLETS WILL ALSO BE PROVIDED.

During this workshop you will learn:

1. How to surf the Internet anonymously with Tor.
2. How to chat privately with OTR.

 

 

How to get here on Calgary Transit:

 

1. Take the Saddletown train to Rundle Station.
2. Exit Rundle Station and get on Bus #32.
3. Rise the bus until you see the large white building shown on the Protospace website. Find the glass door with "Protospace" and a white robot on it.
4. If you reach 12 street and 27 avenue you've gone too far. Get off the bus and walk up the street to the Protospace building.
