Some Tamil Soviet Books

[Mir Titles]

Hi,

We at The Mir Titles Project aim to preserve the Soviet era books (https://mirtitles.org). The complete collection has about 2500 books as of now with several books in Indic languages (https://archive.org/details/mir-titles) on all various topics. 

It was a great delight for us to find the the incredible collection of Tamil Soviet books in the Digital Studies project referred to by a well wisher.  

We at Mir Titles have also scanned some of Tamil books that may be of interest to the group. You can access them at our Internet Archive Collection.

We will adding a few more Tamil books in coming days that we have recently got access to.

Thank you for helping make these valuable resources openly available. 

This was a collaborative project with Kaniyam Foundation (https://kaniyam.com/releasing-tamil-books-from-soviet-publishers/).

We have tried to identify additional soviet works digitized and made available elsewhere as well: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cpmBN9Efbe-zvNqR75503gafSTgL8HMd/edit?gid=146987704#gid=146987704  We will add the above new titles to that list. 

In addition, we have been collecting basic metadata about Tamil works not included in these lists.

Thanks for sharing. My father had a subscription for one of their editions. I loved reading them as a child and still now could find magazines like that.
