to Digital Narrative
I am currently investigating the possibility of running a round table
discussion in the Spring/Summer of 2010 focusing on Describing,
Visualising and Analysing Narrative in the Digital Space (title may
change). This would take place over one day in Dublin some time in the
Feb - April period.
Our aim would be to get researchers and others with an interest in
this area together to discuss ongoing work and also to think about
what we would like to see in the future and how we might get there.
The format would probably be to include some short presentations but
would focus more on discussion, review and planning future directions
with regards to both applications and research.
While obviously this type of event is easier face-to-face, one
possibility (because I know many people are not based in Ireland)
would be to also include a virtual component either through video
conferencing or via something like Second Life to allow more people to
attend.
As mentioned, I am currently surveying interest in an event along the
lines described. If you think this is something that might be of value
to you then it would be much appreciated if you could let me know off-
list (my email address should be available in my profile) including
which month would work best for you and whether, in principle, you
would attend either physically or virtually.
Thanks,
Faith
