The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to announce that McGill University Libraries and McGill University Archives have joined the Coalition as our newest Associate Member.
As one of Canada’s most renowned research universities, McGill cares for extensive and diverse collections documenting more than two centuries of academic, scientific, and cultural achievement. Its Libraries and Archives work together to preserve, curate, and
provide access to a wide range of digital and physical materials that support research, learning, and public engagement.
Guylaine Beaudry, Trenholme Dean of Libraries at McGill, notes:
“McGill University Libraries and McGill University Archives recognize the essential character and value of digital preservation, without it we cannot fulfil our mission to be a leading international research institution.”
Anna Perricci, Head of DPC Americas, added:
“It’s wonderful to see McGill University become part of the DPC community. Their expertise and enthusiasm will strengthen the growing network of DPC Members across the Americas.”
