#WDPD2025 Launches from the iPRES 2025 Conference in Just 3 Weeks!

The countdown is on: just three weeks to go until World Digital Preservation Day 2025! This international day celebrates the global effort to preserve and share our digital heritage for the future.

On Thursday 6 November, the world will come together to celebrate why we preserve - sharing stories, creativity, and inspiration from every corner of the globe. This year, the celebrations will launch live from the iPRES 2025 conference in Wellington, New Zealand before travelling west through every time zone for a full day of World Digital Preservation Day celebrations. 

Behind the scenes, the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) has been preparing some great surprises for the Day, including a global “Why Preserve?” campaign launch, a new version of the Global Bit List of Endangered Digital Species, and fresh multilingual resources.
