The BitCurator Consortium is responding to known and new variables in order to ensure its long-term sustainability, including the resourcing and maintenance of the BitCurator Environment. In parallel, Educopia, BCC's current fiscal host, is in the process of making data-informed changes to its business model. This includes new criteria, such as member communities hosted by Educopia having to support 1 FTE (rather than 0.5 FTE) beginning January 2025. In the best interest of all stakeholders, the BCC and Educopia are working together to identify a new fiscal host for the BCC and a software maintenance partner for the BitCurator Environment. Read more about our transition and next steps.

We're also convening a Transition Team to bring together key stakeholder groups in service of these two goals. The team is open to volunteers with previous involvement in the BCC. If you’re interested in joining, please apply via our form by May 31, 2024.

On behalf of the BCC Executive Council,
Shelly Black
