NOW OPEN: Call for Hosts iPRES 2027-2031

We are excited to announce that the iPRES Steering Group (STG) is now inviting bids from prospective conference hosts to organize iPRES for the years 2027, 2028, and 2029, with additional options for 2030 and 2031.

iPRES has become the premier international conference on digital preservation since its inception in 2004. With iPRES 2025 set to take place in Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand, and iPRES 2026 in København, Denmark, we are looking forward to continuing this global journey.

Key points from the Call for Hosts:

• We welcome proposals for any of the three primary years (2027-2029)
• We are also open to options for hosting in 2030 and 2031
• Our working assumption for regions is (all other factors being equal):
• 2027: the Americas
• 2028: Asia, Pacific, or Australasia (APAC)
• 2029: Europe, Middle East, or Africa (EMEA)
• Our preferences are for guidance and may adapt them to ensure the best outcome
• Informal expressions of interest are welcome by December 1, 2024
• Final bid submission deadline: July 1, 2025, at 12:00 PM GMT
• Prospective hosts for 2027 are invited to submit as soon as their bid is available with a view to an early decision, based on the same criteria and the same process.
