CURATEcamp is an unconference-style event at which participants will engage in discussions related to data curation and digital archives. It’s an unconventional format, with participants in charge of determining learning objectives by choosing the topics and driving the discussion. And it’s an opportunity to brainstorm on current topics, explore ideas in progress or tough concepts, and share best practices. The theme of this CURATEcamp will be bridging the gulf between the Computer Science dominated world of digital libraries research and the LIS dominated world of digital libraries practice. We hope to foster communication between these oft-times disparate groups. After all, collaboration and awareness leads to great ideas, right?
