Hi y'all,

I'd say CurateCAMP SE was a great success and well organized by our hosts at Georgia Tech. I was thankful for the discussions and to spend two days together. My favorite breakout sessions were finding aids, micro-services and a general fedora session.

Some highlights that I remember:

• work flow automation implemented in the file system via inotify
  
• finding aids that open repository items in a javascript overlay, like an e-commerce "quick view"
  
• imagining historical research within linked data
  
• who served in the same civil war regiment?
• how do their diary pages correspond to regiment movement?

What discussions did y'all find useful?

Thanks for getting us started ...

There were a number of comments made by various attendees throughout the two days that I found particularly insightful.

One of the smaller breakout sessions consisted of a few of us from Georgia Tech explaining our current ETD workflow/software to Chris E (student at UT) - it was a useful exercise for us. The broken places in the workflow become glaringly apparent when you try explaining it to someone who hasn't lived with it for years.
