Hello,
Has anyone run across or assessed the HTML files that are saved by Singlefile, which is a browser extension that claims to capture complete webpages in, you guessed it, a single file:
https://www.getsinglefile.com/
There are integrations for all major browsers and easily installable browser extension, as well as a command line interface. It’s available through the App Store and I believe also for Android, for use on mobile devices. Looking at the output, it appears
to write all content, including images, into a single file (images are base64). For the most part the output seems to render properly in existing browsers, without needing to draw in remote assets.
But it also raises questions for a research project I’m working on, and I’m wondering if anyone else has worked on this before I do a deep dive.
Thanks,
Chris
