Dear all,

A reminder that the Call for the iPRES 2025 Ad Hoc Programme is now open!

There are several categories available in the AdHoc programme, including The iPRES Tools Demo (The Great Digital Preservation Bake Off), which offers a platform for developers and practitioners to showcase their digital preservation solutions in a live, interactive setting.

Participants will demonstrate how their tools address real-world challenges in digital preservation. Both seasoned and emerging tool developers have the opportunity to serve up and demonstrate the value and effectiveness of their digital preservation tools in a short, timed presentation. Please note that there is no actual baking at the Bake Off.

This year, the Bake Off features two tracks: the Amuse Bouche challenge for practitioners and the Tasting Spoon challenge for service providers.

Submit your Bake Off proposal via the online form until 31 July 2025, End of Day, Anywhere on Earth.

At the Bake Off we use the ‘iPRES Pantry,’ a curated set of test files and datasets supplied by the community, which enables participants to demonstrate their solutions. Currently, our pantry features a wide range of files, but we are always looking for new ones! To submit your digital ingredients, upload them through Box, with the appropriate license for use and reuse, and a text file with your name and contact information. Remember, only submit content for which you can assign or obtain a license.

If you have any questions regarding the Ad Hoc programme, please contact in...@ipres2025.nz.

Best wishes,

The Great Digital Preservation Bake Off Organising Committee
