Every time I open up dreamweaver the links to my (I:) drive are not
there. I have been to the technicians and got my profile reset and
this solved the problem for a day but now its back to its old tricks.
I have tried in both 2.17 and 3.17 and the same response.
Thanks
Matthew
Frustrating - I agree. Difficult to see how the hand in for you can be
as easy or focused on content as it is for the other 50 peope in the
class.
I suggest we escalate this to a problem for the ITS Service desk to
see if there is anywhere in our site license for Dreamweaver that
would identify this non-operation for some people only of the cached
data about a site within Dreamweaver...

There are some amongst you who should quite simply be starting to
become paranoid... The reason? Dreamweaver is behaving differently for
you than for other people... Defining a site and having it not there
when you return to Dreamweaver the next day is understandably
frustrating. That it happens to you and not to many other people in
the class is reason to be annoyed. If it were just you, I'd think
paranoia would be in order. However, it is happening to a random
collection of you. Too random for us to pick a pattern and allow us to
find a solution.
There is a possible workaround however. Within the site definition /
site manager interface there is an export option. If, once you have
set up your site, you 'Export' it via this button then when you lose
your site definition you can open the site manager and 'Import' the
same site definition including all your file locations, server name
and password details...
