Hey Mike or anybody who knows how:

Am I the only one poor sucker who cant even dream about having VIZ
opened up for rendering...??

I've spoken to Peter the technician and he engaged with the problem
this afternoon by re-setting my log in settings, and by actually
attending to the computers in person, trying to find out what the
problem might be...

NO ANSWER...the poor bugger me had this in reply "it doesn't seem to
work, I don't know what's wrong with it!" , "It might just be the
hardware that's playing the trick, try 319" (time 4.30pm)

So I did...

Now (time 7.52pm)

I have NO accessibility to start VIZ...to do my final three
renders....Aaaaa!!!!

Gidday

I had an all day standards meeting today, so am catching up with email
tonight...

Hopefully the issue has gone away?

As with all frustration messages, the problem I have in trying to
answer this is knowing what you were doing to cause this to happen -
i.e.
- what were the error messages?
- how were you starting Viz?
- does the problem arise for other people on the same computer?
- does the problem happen with opening your file or (as seems to be
the case) opening Viz?
- did you solve the problem in 319?
- does the problem also happen in the other fast computer room 218? (I
am presuming though you don't say that the problem arose in room 317)
- hopefully you were not trying to run the software on the two video
editing computers in the back corner of 317 which should be being used
exclusively for animation edits and which are not fully set up for CAD
etc...

I have questions, not answers ....

M

PS: as there is independent documentation of the problem, it seems to
me that a discussion of the appropriate timing of your hand in -
consistent with doing well in structures - is needed if you have lost
a day or more...

Hey mike

I'm having the same problem and Bernard was too but his is sorted now
for some reason. What happens is that it just jams when it gets to the
continue screen. It pretty much causes the entire computer to freeze
up I have tried it on several different computers in different rooms
and nothing I have tried has worked.
