Hi all,

I have just being having a good look at the excellent CyberSmart website that Dorothy Burt and her collaborators have already developed and am wondering as there is so much excellent stuff there, if a) is there a need to redevelop junior courses or b) if we might use theses as a platform for another 1 or 2 courses alongside the senior one?? Dorothy has given us her blessing to “use and reuse” any of the material on the CyberSmart website. It seems unwise to reinvent the wheel…especially when such a fine wheel exists already J

Check out their work here:

Matrix  - https://sites.google.com/a/ptengland.school.nz/cybersmart/home/matrix

Continuum - https://sites.google.com/a/ptengland.school.nz/cybersmart/home/continuum

Also did anyone participate in the Digital Citizenship Webinar?? If so, how was it? If not, you can access a recording here: Webinar recordings and a summary is available here too: Digital citizenship - using inquiry to build digital citizenship webinar, 6 June

And if you have any ideas about how any of these might be used as a platform for creating junior courses, feel free to add your ideas on the Google doc, am hoping there might be a few primary specialists out there keen to lead the charge!

Although I should probably stop sending out updates on a Friday afternoon if I am hoping for anyone to charge anywhere… J

Cheers and have a lovely weekend.

Claire

Hi All,

I have just joined this wonderful project and have added a some material to the JS section - -although i did this before reading this post - so i will have to review the Pt England material and see how great it is. I'm all for no more wheels too..

Will move on to the Senior school section now - Love having a job that covers the entire spectrum..

Thanks Clare for the project and the concept itself - online for all!!
