Dashboards with monthly rather than daily data

I would like to have a dashboard showing data for a 12-month period (to easily export it in pdf), but in such case, the data doesn't look good, because there are too many data points.
Is there a way to show monthly data rather than daily data on a dashboard?

Hi Christine,

The only way to change the time increment in a dashboard widget is by setting the dimension of the widget to "Month of Year." 

For example, you could create a bar chart widget with the metric set to "Visits" and the dimension set to "Month of Year" to see visits per month reported.
