Hi,

I'm stuck! I've got the correct RegEX for the exclude in the exercise, but every time i press submit on my sandbox account I get the error - 'One or more fields contains invalid data.'

pretty new to RegEx - can anyone see where I made the error? (case sensitive - tried both options)

thanks in advance
dave

I get the same result.  I pasted the correct answer into the sandbox account (careful not to have extra spaces etc) and used about every combination of options - even the advanced filter IPs and the string still brings up an error.  Individual IP filter - no problem.

You might have put the reg ex tag ^ try removing it

I don't think you need to put the regex expression there since it's an ip address

Thanks for your reply Louie.

the ^ and $ are both part of the correct answer on the lesson questions.. so it would be a bit odd if they weren't required.

I tried removing them just in case, but it made no difference.

Are you going through the exercises? what worked for you?

I've managed to get this working now...

looks like it was some sort of caching/session issue.. I logged out, and back in again (my GA account) entered the exact same data/info and it saved ok first time.

That's great david. I actually used both and it worked for me.

On the live accounts that I'm handling it usually works without

Mine also had the same issue, logged in and out again and it seemed to work!

I had to log out of analytic and log back in to get the filter address to work. The first time I entered it in incorrectly. Despite entering the correct answer in multiple times after that it refuse to save until I logged out of analytic and then logged back in. Annoying as all heck but it worked finally.
