Craig-Today I was chatting on APRS via YAAC, which is connected to my UV-Pro.  It transmits to my DigiPi which is operating as a DigiPeater.  All my transmissions get out via my DigiPi Digipeater.  However, I was simultaneously monitoring my chat using the iOS App APRS.fi and I noticed it was receiving transmissions from my QSO that YAAC was missing.  I presume that it because APRS.fi is connected via the Internet and YAAC receives it's transmissions from my DigiPi.

I assume this means that my DigiPi Digipeater is not decoded all the packets it's hearing and/or it's not hearing all the packets which leads me to this question.  Should I make adjustments to the settings on my DigiPi Digipeater or, is this just a fact of life for radio APRS that I need to live with.

For help in your analysis, here is a snippet of my Packet Log (My radio is WA4SKI-7):

Hi Randall,

That log looks really good to me.

Does the UVPRO have a transmit tail like the Mini?  The mini continues
to transmit for about 300ms after PTT is UN-asserted, so you might miss
the digipeat or response if it's immediate, as your uvpro continues to
transmit silence.

Just press PTT on the uvpro and watch the red line - does it stay on
after you let up on the button?

curiously,

Just my two cents for what it's worth.  The UV PRO and N76 are the same radio.  I don't know if they update the firmware at the same time.  Should be close.  The UV Pro has weather channels.

That being said. There is an issue with the N76 and the kiss tnc from the last firmware update.  That fix should be out soon along with other features.  I'm having the same issue with the VGC N76 so be patient if this rings true for the UV Pro.  Cheers, might not be the digipi or an issue with it.
