Hi DL2PLE,

I really like your DigiPi-with-screen case, I cannot find anything like it commercially available.

But I do not have a 3d printer. I'm wondering if you would consider printing a couple for me for a fee?

Let me know at kk6jni at gmail dot com if you could do this for a fee.

Thanks,

Rob

I have 3d printed your case for my digipi.  I have the 240x240 display from Amazon and found that the top of the case does not align with the buttons and I guess the Amazon display are a little thicker because there are 2 screw post on the lid that align with the bottom of the case but the small stand offs in the lid are to tall so the screen cannot sit down properly.   The bottom of the case fits the pi zero 2 W perfectly.   Im guessing that you have the adafruit display which probably fit into this case.

Thanks
Shannon

Shannon,
thanks for your feedback. You are right, I have the original Adafruit display.

Could you please give me a pointer (link) to the display that you bought? Maybe you could also mail me a photo of the problem.
Regarding the upper screw posts at the display side, they are from an earlier version and no longer required, I will remove them.

It should be possible to adapt the upper part of the case to fit both display versions, or to create an alternate version, as soon as I am able to measure the critical positions of that display.

Right now I am awaiting another display from Ali, will compare that also as soon as it arrives.

Cheers
-pl (Peter)

Hello Peter,
While playing with the fit of the case I ended up breaking it up to see more so I dont really have any pics but one showing the button alignment looking at it directly.   I can also see that the little screw stantions dont quite aligned with the display hat i have.  I snapped the screw stand off to look more closing at it.  I dont think the were the issue...besides not aligning I believe its more of the button switches on my display hat do not align with the current holes plus on the lid I see you made some small overhangs yo help hold the display in place (I marked up another pic) and the gap is a little to tight for my display.  I was really trying to make it fit but it just was not going to.  So I could never get the display, the Pi and the top and bottom of the case to come together.   Hope that is a little helpful.   It would be nice to have a case that would just fit and I dont have to dig into my spare parts jars trying to find stand-off and special screws...lol.  Thanks again for designing a case.   I am more thst happy to do test printing for you.  I have a few 3d printers and love that hobby as well. Also providing the link to the display i hot from Amazon.

Thank you

Shannon

I just added an alternate top cover for the DigiPi case that you can find on thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7209698).

Now you can print the case to fit the Adafruit display as well as the display version that can be found on Aliexpress and Amazon, which has slightly different measures (thanks Shannon, for making me aware of this!).

Enjoy, -pl DL2PLE
