Hi Craig,
I noticed when using APRS TNC/igate on VHF, the qth is instandly transmitted by internet to aprs.fi and is visible on the map.

When using APRS HF TNC/igate there is no tx of the qth via internet to aprs.fi although a connection with a server is made.

Is it possible to make the qth of the hf igate visible on the aprs.fi map including the frequency the igate is using? This will make finding other HF aprs stations easier I think...?

Thanks in advance,

PD2CH/Kees
currently on HF APRS TNC/igate on 14.103 lsb.

the HF TNC does not transmit a position beacon neither via the internet nor RF.

You can add a line like this to direwolf.tnc300b.conf to send a beacon,

PBEACON sendto=IG compress=1 delay=00:15 every=30:00 symbol="igate" overlay=R lat=38.999 long=-120.999 comment=" DigiPi http://digipi.org/"

that will send your position to aprsis/aprs.fi via internet.  remove the "sendto=IG" to transmit the beacon on RF instead.

if it helps,
