Ardop sound configuration

I am having an issue with ARDOP opening playback for my QMX transceiver. Switching to x6100 rig control and ARDOP sound work great, but QMX is giving me fits. Sysinfo recognizes the QMX soundcard, .asoundrc looks good, but  I receive the following message when I startup Ardop from the main menu:

When I start piardopc from command line, sound playback works See below.

then if I start Pat and ARDOP from main menu, all is well for transmit and receive.

Below is the command that works and I need to know what file(s) to modify:

./piardopc 8515 plughw:Transceiver,0 plughw:Transceiver,0

Any ideas are welcome!.

Hi William,  ARDOP needs a special device file defined in ~/.asoundrc, and you
can change the sample rate there also,  but, in any event, if you have a working command line
for ardop, you can drop it in /home/pi/ardop.sh

Thanks, Craig! I I modified ardop.sh and now Pat Winlink with ARDOP works for my QMX xcvr. For anyone else that is having issues getting ARDOP to work with QMX , the modified ARDOP script below is the only change I had to make in DIGIPI.

As Craig suggested, I added "8515 plughw:Transceiver,0 plughw:Transceiver,0" to the last line.

William I am also having issues with my QMX and ardop.  I edited my ardop.sh as you did.

when i initiate a connect i get this back

25/10/28 17:11:19 RigCtl Radio ready. Dial frequency is 7.102.00 MHz. 2025/10/28 17:11:19 Starting HTTP service (http://0.0.0.0:8080)... 2025/10/28 17:11:44 ARDOP TNC initialization failed: dial tcp [::1]:8515: connect: connection refused

Any pointers you can give me please?

oops disregard - when i selected Pat Email Client, it also picked AX.25 Network.  I failed to pick ARDOP.  After several tries I finally paid attention, saw that, selected ardop and I have transmission and measured power out.  Now when i get home I can hook it to an antenna (Im on a dummy load here) and try to send some mail.
