Honestly, I REALLY like these DSI screens:

The five and seven inch screens are ideal. They look/feel/taste
just like a cell phone screen.
DSI screens are all compatible, just be sure to get 800x480
resolution.
The Raspberry Pi screws into the back of the screen, and the entire
things sits on your rig/desk.
There's nothing wrong with HDMI either, just a bit more bulky with
the cables, power cords, etc. Also, the Zero2W doesn't have a
DSI ribbon connector, so I recommend a Pi 3A+ or better now.
HDMI and DSI displays are new with DigiPi 2.2-BETA6, fully GPU
accelerated.
My go-to DigiPi is now a Pi3A+ and 800x480 DSI screen
